heyo!
welcome to my corner of the internet.
there is a new moon in virgo this evening. new moons are about new beginnings, blank canvases, and the planting of seeds. seems like the perfect occasion to write my first newsletter— the fact that i am a virgo is delicious icing on the cake.
setting intentions for your future using the potent energy of new moons is extremely powerful. in order to go forward, however, we must reflect on where we are in the present moment. so… i ask myself, where am i?
i’m floating. floating in a space between who I was and who I’m becoming. I’ve never really felt a sense of permanence in the different phases of my life. after college, i modeled for a bit. that had an obvious finite timeline. i was unemployed during the pandemic for about 10 months living back home. after a while i figured i’d put my marketing degree to use which i did for a 3-year stint trying out the corporate 9-5 life. spoiler alert: that didn’t end well. it had led me to SoCal and then right back to the midwest. cue modest mouse “don’t you worry, we’ll all float on”
as far from who I thought I would be as I currently am, I have to say I feel really good. I see this time, once again being unemployed and living at home, as a gracious, privileged gift. it’s the time and space to go within, to figure out who I am and how I want to live this precious life, and to take action towards making that life happen.
it’s funny how living in alignment is both effortless and a kick in the pants. effortless when the path feels as though it is being made clear, you feel light, confident, and sure. a kick in the pants when you are constantly humbled and shown aspects of yourself that need to be healed and loved in order to evolve into your highest self.
what keeps me grounded is knowing that everything has always worked out for me. i can (and will) dream up my ideal life and set many intentions for the different areas of said life under the new moon tonight. the best part? if they manifest, i’ll have my ideal life! if they don’t, like i always say, it’s this or something better.

p.s. this new moon i’m doing something i’ve never done before with a group of my girlfriends. it’s something i’ve been called to do for a while and hope to offer to a larger community (all of you!) very soon. more on that next time :)
